  • English Premier League (EPL) will kick off in 2 weeks time and the champ had already shown determination to repeat last season success by adding new stars to already star studded team. Sir Alex might have planned some goals galore fixtures by adding world class attacking talent to the side.

The new players already bought by Man Utd so far are:

    Nani (From Sporting Lisbon)

    Nani

Another wonderkid from Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo is just 22. And this guy has already been dubbed as the “next Ronaldo”. Although expected to be restricted to cameos appearances this season, his silky skill and imagination will definitely help Man Utd at some stage through the season, Seen as long term replacement for Ryan Giggs.

    Anderson (From Porto)

    Anderson

If Nani is the next Ronaldo, Anderson is definitely the “next Ronaldinho”. The teen sensation is strong in possession, extremely left-footed and possess an exceptional talents. Will be the future replacement for the evergreen Paul Scholes.

Owen Hargreaves ( From Bayern Munich)

    Owen Hargreaves

The Canadian born talent is well known for his no nonsense and hard tackling approach. Also his all-action style will result a comparison with X-Man Utd captain and inspiration, Roy Keane.

    Carloz Tevez (From West Ham)

    Carlos Tevez

Its confirm Carloz Tevez will be joining Man Utd next week after a long, tedious “Tevez Gate” issues. He will definitely add extra fire power to the current squad.

  • No, there are no touch-up by Photoshop or any other softwares (I thought, when I first saw them). Yes, all of these buildings are for real! Human imaginations are sometimes just really beyond belief!

    1. Dancing House

    The Dancing House

This building is just twisted! I don’t know how comfortable it is inside the building itself. The geniuses behind this creation are also controversial. Some said they are two architects originated from Czech Republic and Canada respectively. And some said the architect is actually from California. Still, the question is, do you want to live inside it?

    2. Robot Building

    Robot buildings

The Bank of Asia, Bangkok was built in 1985. It was called robot building because of its look. The robot look is actually as a symbol of modernization.

    3. Ripley’s Building

    Ripley Building

Another twisted building, this one built by Ripley Legacy. It was built to reflect the odd 1812 earthquake that measured 8.0 on the Richter scale. I hope whoever decides to live there just be extra careful :)

    4. The Wilson Hall

    The Wilson Hall

Built between 1971 and 1974, this building is used as big laboratories and office spaces for more than 1500 scientists. The design was acknowledged in 1975 with an award from the Society of American Registered Architects. It is belief that all kind of weird experiment had been done here.

    5. 135 Degree Angle

    135 Degree angles

There is not much info on this building. The only thing known is it is located either at China or Japan. In fact, there is no official name for this building. It is called “135 Degree Angle” because one side of the building has 135 degree angle.

    6. Hotel Sofitel

    Hotel Softel

Built inspired by the traditional temples in Japan, the Tokyo Sofitel has over 72 rooms, and 11 suites with 3 non-smoking floors. Definitely a mesmerize masterpiece with its high-tech design and technologies. And of course, definitely a very costly place to stay.

    7. The Astra Haus

    The Astra Haus

This building is actually a beer factory in Hamburg, Germany. The floors can move up or down on it’s skinny column core. And as of today, sadly, this very unique building has gone. One of its more famous beer brands was recently bought by a big refreshment corporation. And that beer brand was called Astra.

    8. The Astra Haus

    Upside Downer

Located in Central Florida, this house has become an attraction to the local and tourist. Not sure if somebody really has a gut to live in this odd house. And I really don’t know if it’s purposely design upside down or just a screw up by a contractor 

    9. Crooked House

    Crooked House

The Crooked House was built in 2004 as an addition at a popular shopping center, and is a major tourist attraction in Sopot, Poland. It’s more look like a “ghost house” for me. Maybe the architect is the fan of horror movie or sth. Or maybe he was just “high” when he designed it? We’ll never know. It will remain a mystery ..:)

    10. Another Crooked House?

The Glynne Arms a.k.a the Crooked House

The Glynne Arms (more popularly known as the Crooked House a.k.a The Siden House) located on the edge of the Himley Estate. It is a house that has suffered badly from mining subsidence. It lies on what was the divide between Sir Stephen Glynne’s land and that of the Earl of Dudley. Just weird :)

  • Myths about your eyesight

Here are some myths about our eyes. Well, don’t always believe what your teachers had said before :) Just kidding.

We have heard a lot of tales about the eyes. At least now we will know the truth. :)

    The Myths :

“Sitting too close to the TV will damage your vision.”
There is no evidence to prove that sitting to close to the television will damage your eyes. But still, use your common sense. If you watch TV too close you might not get blind, instead you might become crazy :)

“Reading in the dark will weaken your eyesight”
Again, there is no evidence to back up this claim. It may cause your eyes fatigue, but it is not harmful and cannot damage your vision.

“You can wear your eyes out by using them too much.”
As long as your eyes are healthy, you can use it until your last breath :)

“Too much sex, especially masturbation, can make you go blind.”
Another totally ridiculous myth. Don’t worry about this guy :)

“Some eye exercises can improve your vision.”
No, whatever exercises you did to your eyes; it won’t improve your eyesight at all.

“Wearing poorly fit glasses damages your eyes.”
What you really need is the right eyeglass prescription. Poor fitting glasses do not damage your eyes.

“Although eyeglasses makes you see better, they make vision get worse over time.”
Wearing eyeglasses will never make your eyes worse. People think it that way because before they use glasses, they get used to blurry vision. And after they wearing glasses and don’t wear it occasionally, they feel that the vision just get worse. Actually, it’s the people perception that has changed.

“There is no need to have your vision checked before you turn 40.”
You need to check your eyes regularly for prevention for other serious problems. There are treatable eye diseases; for example glaucoma problem, which can show up before you turn 40.

“It is not harmful to look at the sun if you squint or use dark glasses.”
Don’t ever underestimate the power of the sun’s ultra-violet light. The light can damage your cornea, lens and retina even if you use dark glasses. Also, never look directly at a solar eclipse. The direct light from the sun can blind a person in less than a minute.

“There is nothing you can do to prevent vision loss”
Again, the key is to have regular eye exams. Some vision loss, such as blurred vision can be treated or corrected if detected early enough.

“Eating carrots will improve your vision.”
Carrots are high in Vitamin A, which is an essential vitamin for sight. But only for slight amount is necessary. Eating too much amount of Vitamin sometimes can be very harmful to your health.

    “Doctors can transplant eyes.”
No way. It’s impossible for even the best doctors to transplant a whole eye.
Quote - “The eye is connected to the brain by a small nerve called the optic nerve. If this nerve is cut it cannot be reconnected, making it impossible to remove the eye and replace it with another one. When doctors figure out how to transplant the brain, they will be able to transplant the eye.”

“Vision improves in older people as they gain second sight.”
Quote - “Second sight refers to the ability of a person to see better, usually up-close, as they age. The reason for this “improved” vision is that the lens power changes due to increasing cataract. So actually second sight is due to the cataract having advanced.”

“Scientists have created a Bionic Eye.”
Quote - “Researchers have been working on a microchip to replace damaged retina cells in a person’s central vision. Other scientists have been trying to figure out a way to connect a camera directly to the brain. The eye and the brain do not work the same way a camera and computer do. Even after someone figures out how to make a bionic eye, they still have to figure out how to connect it to the neural circuitry of the brain. What they have created so far is a crude form of vision consisting of several dots of light.”

“Blind people have a sixth sense or extra ordinary talents.”
Quote - “Most People with (20/20) vision do not pay much attention to their other senses. Blind people have worked hard to develop their other senses to compensate for their vision loss. There is no sixth sense. Just hard work and practice.”

  • Burj al-Taqa Burj al-Taqa Burj al-Taqa

    What a beautiful master piece!

This extravagant skyscraper called the Burj al-Taqa (’Energy Tower’) will be built in Dubai, and it will produce 100% of its own power. This tower will have a huge (197 foot diameter) wind turbine on its roof, and arrays of solar cells that will total 161,459 square feet in size.

Designed by German architect, Eckhard Gerber, this state-of-the-art tower will have 68-story building, projected to rise to a lofty height of 322 meters (1,056 feet), which would make it number 22 on the list of the world’s tallest buildings.

This building also designed in such a way that it produces its own natural air conditioning system. Lateral openings in the towers suck in cool air like a chimney. The heavier cool air sinks down and displaces the lighter hot air, creating a comfortable temperature inside the living space despite the scorching sun.

    Brilliant isn’t it?
